You may recognize these funky little creations
(above and below) as Arlene's postoid people. Arlene combined
our postoid stamps
with some of our other images to create these little people with
personalities all their own.

Arlene began by stamping the images on unbleached
muslin with Fabrico ink. She then applied color with acrylic paints
(textile paints may also be used) and added various beads, charms,
buttons, feathers or hair and other embellishments. (She encourages
you to be creative and use all those crazy little finds you've
been hoping to put to good use!) Use scissors to cut out a loose
shape around your person and a matching piece of material for
the backing. (Stamp and color the back also if you wish.) One
of the great things about this project is that it does not involve
any sewing! Arlene used Beacon Liqui-Fuse she purchased at a fabric
store to seal the seams. Before sealing closed all the way around
leave an opening on one end and stuff your person with a little
quilt batting. Seal the last bit of fabric closed and trim away
any stray threads, etc. Attach a safety pin to the back and surprise
somebody special with their own unique postoid person pin...it's
sure to make them smile!
