I am 38 years old, married, and have two children, ages 4 and 7. I became interested in scrapbooking after my daughter was born in 2001. My real interest in stamping began when I received a hand-stamped card from a church member, who happened to be a Stampin' Up! consultant. I happily joined her monthly card club and also began buying stamps from a local stamp store. Now I enjoy using stamps to make cards, to embellish my scrapbook pages, and as a way to spend time with my kids. I am also proud to have some of my cards for sale in a local shop. And I especially like to be able to show people how much they mean to me by making a card, by hand, just for them. I have a real need to create something tangible and lasting. In addition to becoming a member of this design team I am also applying to be a "master" scrapbooker for Memory Makers Magazine. I am excited by the challenge that having to create a scrapbook layout or a card with items I myself may not have chosen would cause me to stretch my imagination, to try new techniques, and to continue to grow and change as a paper crafter. |
